Nobunaga Oda: Originaly known as fool of Owari or Lord fool. After his upstart at the Battle of Ohezahama, began his quest to unify Japan. Due to his facination with West (was the first Japanese Noble to wear Western clothing) and his extreme, at times tactics was named a Demon Lord. Finaly, he met his demise in the flames of Honoji Temple in the summer of 1582. If faith hadn't struck him down in his primes, he would surely become the new Shogun of Japan. Nobunaga Oda surly was the greatest general and leader that Japan ever had or will have.
Alecksandr Vasilievich Suvorov: Probably most famouse Russian general of 18th century. He didn't had a match to himself and never lost a single battle in his long, military carrier. Some of his most famouse battles took place during Russo-Turkish wars in the reighn of Catherine II the Great. Those were the Siege of the Turkish fortress on Dunabe river, known as Ismail; the one that was supposed to be unpregnetable and unconquerable. However, that fortress was no match for the geniuse of this great general. The other famouse battle of his, was at the river of Rymnik, where he had routed an army of 90,000 Ottomans, having only 9,000 troops at his disposal. After this battle his was doubted a title of Count of Rymnik (Graff Rymnikskii). The last campaingh of his was Italian campaingh, which he fough when he was already around his 70. The Austrian Empire, had troubles with Napoleon, who had invaded their possessions in Italy. So, they called for the help of Russian Empire and it sent their greatest general, who was supposed to be in retirenment back then. However, Suvorov defeated all of the French troops and chased them rigth into the Alps. For that compaighn he was awarded the title of Prince of Italy (Knyaz Italianskii). Nevertheless, Russian troops were abandoned in Italy by Austrians, once the Napoleon was chased off and Suvorov, already an old man had to lead all of Russian troops to Swiztherland, through the Italian Alps in the Fall season. That was preaty much the hardest march of his carrier, but he managed to get Russian troops out of Italy and back home. However, upon his arrival, he fell extremly ill and by the May of 1800 he had died at the age of 72. I consider him as the greatest general of all times, even greater then Alexandr the Great!
